what is grain of salt?
grain of salt is a reading event series in LA that focuses on connection through literature and food. we’re best known for our “book club supper club” events, where we read an entire book together, eat dinner with a menu inspired by it, and meet new friends.
who are we?
we’re alexis (she/her) and kai (they/them), a lesbian couple living in LA. alexis is a lover of literature and kai is a lover of cooking—together, we’re creating events centering both of our loves.
originally starting out as a book club in our humble apartment living room, grain of salt is the next iteration of this passion project. <3
